We recommend using a domain name that is already registered with a registrar. The reason behind this is to give the domain owner (you) more control over the domain. The domain will then always be your property.

We currently use Domains Priced Right for our own domain registrations, they are cheap but very reliable.

How do I change the nameservers for my domain name?

The following steps generally outline the process of changing your domain’s DNS:

  1. Log into your domain registrars account.
  2. Access your domain’s administration interface.
  3. Access the Change Name Servers feature.
  4. Enter the new DNS information and save.

Recommended reading for WordPress Installation Services purchases

Please have the following information ready after purchasing the WordPress Installation Service:

  1. A host that meets the requirements to run WordPress (requirements)
  2. A real email address

  4. Tag Line or Slogan
